πŸ’• LOVE IN HIGH SCHOOL – PART 2 (By Nana)

It’s been three months since I last saw him…

Three months since Skeleton broke my heart and left me bleeding inside πŸ’”

I told myself, “Nana, move on. Forget him.”
But deep down, I was still hoping to see him one more time 😒.

Then one Friday afternoon, ngibona umuntu efika esikoleni — tall, same smile, same voice.

“Nana, please hear me out,” he said.

I wanted to walk away, but my legs refused.
My heart said, “Listen.”
My mind said, “Run.”

“Ngiyaxolisa, Nana,” he started. “I was stupid. That girl meant nothing. I swear, ngiyakuthanda.”

His voice cracked, eyes wet. For a second, I almost believed him.
But then… the memories hit me — the lies, the tears, the way he laughed with her behind the tuck shop 😭.

“You only miss me because she left you,” I said softly.

“No, Nana, it’s not like that!”

I smiled, but it wasn’t the smile he used to know.
“Skeleton, some things don’t heal, no matter how much you say sorry.”

Silence filled the air. Even the wind felt sad.
He tried to hold my hand, but I stepped back.

“Ngiyakuthanda, Nana…” he whispered one last time.

“Maybe you do,” I said. “But I don’t trust you anymore.” πŸ’”

He looked at me, defeated, then walked away slowly —
and that was the last time I saw Skeleton at school.

I went back to class, wiped my tears, and told myself —
“Sometimes love doesn’t end because it’s gone… it ends because you finally choose yourself.” πŸ’«

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ To be continued... (Part 3 coming soon)
